Baseball pants are part of the baseball uniform worn by both professionals and amateurs. For much of the twentieth century, professional baseball players wore stockings. This will prevent the lettering and numbers from fading. Never put the pants in the dryer, because this may cause the pants to shrink and could also fade the colors.
